Today, Viapass, BIPT, the Regions and the federal traffic police have carried out a joint action, specifically to check on the use of so-called ‘jammers’ in lorries to evade the kilometre-based tax.
The checks took place simultaneously at three locations in the Flemish, Walloon and Brussels Capital Regions between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m.
With their action Viapass, BIPT, the Regions and the police want to send the message that they perform checks and that the use of jammers can lead to heavy fines.
