Decision of 12 August 2025 on Lycamobile’s non-compliance with the regulation applicable to the refund of prepaid credit in the event of a number transfer (non-confidential version)

Prepaid card users who transfer their mobile numbers to another operator are entitled to a refund of their unused call credit.

Following a series of controls, the BIPT (Belgian Institute for Postal Services and Telecommunications) found that Lycamobile did not comply with this legal obligation and imposed a fine of €280 000 on the operator.
