The draft Royal Decree, which is submitted for public consultation, aims to introduce policy solutions in response to the BIPT report on the assessment by Easy Switch in 2019/2020, published on the BIPT website on 28 January 2021, as well as the amendments to the Royal Decree of 6 September 2016 regarding the migration of fixed line services and bundles of services in the electronic communications sector, necessary to meet the European obligations regarding the switching of operators, laid down in Directive (EU) 2018/1972 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 11 December 2018 establishing the European Electronic Communications Code.
