The first objective of this consultation is to take stock again of the issue of making the transition from IPv4 to IPv6.

Secondly and in order to allow, of necessary, an adaptation of the code of conduct established in 2012, BIPT has to inquire about the stock of available IPv4 addresses and check the current terms for the use of IPv4/CGN, in order to determine whether the code of conduct gears with reality and its observance.

This consultation will help to provide support for a request from the Vice-Premier and Minister of Digital Agenda, Telecom and Postal Services made to the FPS Economy to hold a survey about any possible technical obstacles to the roll-out of IPv6 on the mobile Internet.
