The BIPT publishes its annual study in which the prices of telecom services in Belgium are compared with those in the neighbouring countries.

The presented tariffs refer to October 2024, just before the launch of the fourth operator.

This study shows that Belgium is expensive for small mobile subscriptions, fixed Internet and the heaviest bundles.

By contrast, competition in Belgium has increased for mobile subscriptions with medium and big data needs. Although the mobile market is developing strongly, the fixed market lags behind.

Following the start of the 4th mobile operator and the subsequent first responses those international comparisons change drastically.

The BIPT offer clarification in a second press release.
