Providers of intermediary services (as defined in Article 3 of the Digital Services Act (DSA)) offering their services in Belgium and whose main establishment is located in Belgium can notify the BIPT of their presence, on a voluntary basis.
Pursuant to the DSA, the main establishment is the location where the provider has its head office or registered office within which the principal financial functions and operational control are exercised.
The purpose of this form is to enable the providers concerned to notify their data to the BIPT in order to facilitate an effective and comprehensive monitoring of compliance with the provisions of the DSA.
The transmission of this form contributes to a better understanding of the Belgian intermediary services market and supports the BIPT in its supervisory tasks. Not notifying the BIPT in no way exempts the providers concerned from the obligations imposed by the DSA.
