Following unauthorised access to the data of numerous Orange customers, there is an increased risk of fraudulent SIM card replacement (see our dedicated page).

In order to enhance security, Orange will send you a text message if a request to transfer your number to another operator is initiated.

The message reads as followsOrange info: “Hello, we’ve received a request to transfer your mobile number to another operator. If you did not request this, reply STOP within 8 hours to cancel the transfer. If you asked a transfer, you can ignore this message.”

The number sending this test message will be 5000 (for private customers) or 5995 (for professional customers).
